1. One agreement
MatLog, RollLens and Coach Console are being tested in a pilot run by Matthew DeMaio, using the working name Luctaris Intelligence. Everyone who uses them, athletes and coaches alike, reads the Luctaris Terms and Conditions and ticks one box to join. Google Cloud Gemini analysis and model training are part of joining. You can turn either one off, or back on, in Your pilot choices, and you can leave the pilot at any time.
2. Adults only
The pilot is for adults: 18 or older and a legal adult where you live.
3. Sound and faces
Videos keep the sound the phone records; it isn't removed. Coaches you're connected to can hear it. There is no face recognition and no identification across videos.
4. Body tracking on the viewer's device
When someone watching a video turns on body tracking, their own browser estimates approximate body points (including eyes, ears, nose, mouth corners and hand knuckles) and draws a stick figure over the video. Nothing it works out is uploaded, sent to Google or stored. It doesn't recognize anyone, and in grappling it is often wrong.
5. Coaches
Only the coaches named in the Terms ([COACH FULL NAMES]) may see members' material, in the private Coach Console, and only after the member connects with them. A connected coach can see the member's videos and their AI match notes, hear each video's sound, and correct the AI match notes; the member sees each change with the coach's name. You can remove a coach's access at any time.
6. Google Cloud Gemini
For videos, Gemini gets a silent, low-resolution copy (your video keeps its sound) and may get short text: coach corrections of earlier AI notes on your videos, leaving out the names the app knows. Voice recaps and text also go to Gemini, to be turned into text and MatLog drafts. Processing may happen outside your country. We don't instruct Google to train on it. Google may keep what it receives in short-term memory for up to 24 hours, and may keep flagged submissions for up to 90 days, when authorized Google staff may review them for abuse. No other outside AI service receives your data.
7. AI match notes
After a round with a training partner is uploaded, Gemini writes automatic AI match notes: a short summary, a timeline of positions and moments, what went well and things to work on. For a video of just you, you can ask for them on the video's page. You and your connected coaches see the notes as soon as they're ready; no person checks them first. They can be wrong. Your connected coaches can correct them right away; you and they see the same notes, with each change and the coach's name, and the AI's original wording of a changed note stays one tap away. The AI is instructed never to judge injury, health, fitness, bodies, belts, scores or winners, and never to name anyone, and Luctaris filters some of its output, but the instructions and filters can fail.
8. Model training
Your entries, clips, notes and corrections may train private experimental Luctaris models, solely for this pilot, unless you turn model training off. If you turn it off or leave, we stop using any affected model and delete or rebuild it within [MODEL RETIREMENT PERIOD] days. Commercial use of models trained on pilot data needs new permission. Coach corrections of AI notes are saved as labels, with whether the athlete marked them "I disagree". They may be used for training only while everyone in the video, and the coach, have model training on and the coach is still connected. Names the app knows are removed from any training file.
9. Training partners
Every adult filmed must agree first. Any member can upload a clip with one training partner: they type the partner's full name and tick one box confirming that the partner read the Luctaris Terms and Conditions and agreed to them. That tick is the uploader's word. RollLens keeps the partner's name as typed, the exact wording ticked, who ticked it and when, and which version of the Terms was in force. It keeps no email address or other contact details for the partner. A training partner withdraws, from the whole pilot or from Gemini analysis or model training only, by contacting the Organizer at [EMAIL], not in the app. The Organizer records it for every video under their name, which stops that use at once, and confirms in writing. After that, the app refuses new videos under that name, or a close spelling of it, from every member.
10. Deletion
Active source data is deleted by [FINAL DELETION DATE]. The Organizer does this by hand; the app doesn't delete files automatically on a schedule. If you leave the pilot, we stop using your data at once, and the Organizer deletes it within 14 days and confirms in writing. If you delete your account yourself, your data in the app is deleted right away. Inaccessible backups may last [VERIFIED BACKUP PERIOD] more days; Google's flagged submissions may last up to 90 days.
11. Records we keep
We keep a record of what you agreed to (the exact text, its version and a fingerprint of it), and of any change or withdrawal, for [RECORD RETENTION PERIOD], including after you leave or delete your account. It includes your email address, so we can confirm deletion in writing.
